This policy explains what information is collected when you play Ally Quinn: True Crime Merge ("the game"), how it is used, and the choices you have. The game is developed by Indigo Chimp Studios (Stephen Skehan), South Australia, Australia.
Summary
- The game does not require an account and does not ask for your name, email, or contact details.
- Game progress is stored on your device (and in your device backups). We do not store it on our servers.
- We use third-party services for analytics, crash reporting, and advertising. These services collect device identifiers and usage data as described below.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising and tracking at any time.
Information collected
None. Your progress (board state, story progress, in-game currencies) is saved locally on your device.
Collects gameplay events (for example: tutorial steps completed, story leads resolved, in-app purchases made), device information (model, OS version, language), an app-instance identifier, and approximate region. We use this to understand how the game is played and to improve it.
Collects crash reports, including device state at the time of a crash, device model and OS version, and an installation identifier. We use this to find and fix bugs.
Serves rewarded video advertisements (ads you choose to watch in exchange for in-game energy). AdMob may collect your device's advertising identifier (IDFA, where permitted), IP address, and ad-interaction data. Where you have not consented to tracking, ads are served on a non-personalised basis.
Processes all purchases. We never see your payment details. Purchase receipts are handled by Apple under Apple's own privacy policy.
App Tracking Transparency (iOS)
On iOS, the game asks your permission before tracking via Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you decline, the game works identically and ads are simply non-personalised. You can change this at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
Consent for users in the EEA/UK
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you will be shown a consent message (via Google's User Messaging Platform) before any personalised advertising. You can decline, and can change your choice from the game's settings.
Children
The game is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Ad content is rated appropriately through AdMob's content settings.
Data retention and deletion
Analytics and crash data are retained by Google according to Firebase's retention settings (event data: 14 months). To delete locally stored game data, delete the app. To request deletion of analytics data associated with your app instance, contact us at the email above and we will action it via Firebase's deletion tools.
